Jack Keane PC Games Review and walktrough

Point and click adventure games are hard to come by these days, but developer Deck 13 is brave attempt to revive the genre with Jack Keane. Due to the large Monkey Island, Keane is full of lighthearted humor and sexual innuendo.

Any player who was burned to the difficulty of some old school point and click games need not worry about Jack Keane. This game is meant to be a fun romp, and it is impossible to die or trap yourself. A cursor interactive stresses that actions are possible with an item you drag more. Areas where you can climb are indicated by a slight glisten on the ground. The camera helps out, as well, and will zoom in to objects important to you not look them over.

The game is provided worldwide in 3D which makes for a more dynamic than adventure games of old.

As our story begins, Jack was caught by a couple thugs aimed at hitting a debt to those outside. He is tied up, and a knife position, just out of reach. Through a conversation tree, Jack has to aggravate the thugs so that they beat him within reach of the blade.

Items are listed in the upper left corner of the screen, and you have the right mouse button and drag to where you want to use them.

The game includes 13 chapters and should be between 20 and 25 hours to complete. During the course of the adventure you'll have to play as other characters as young Jack and the sexy love interest Amanda.

Jack Keane is not likely to trigger a huge resurgence in point and click game, but fans of the genre should definitely take a look at the game. It was recently launched in Germany (and well-received), and a North American version is expected this holiday season.
